Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why should I buy saw blades from
you?
A: Making the right saw blade is not an easy thing, especially
if it is done right. My manufacturer utilizes the latest techniques,
technology, the most advanced machinery, and highly skilled technicians.
Here is how the factory creates such high quality saw blades:
- The plate body is laser cut from special
saw steel. Laser cutting is more expensive than simply stamping
out steel with a die, but it helps keep the steel flat.
- Salt bath heat treating tempers the
steel to a harness of 42-46 RC.
- The plate is tensioned. This can
be done by hammering, rolling, or heating. My manufacturer uses
the most appropriate method of the size and application of the saw.
- High precision rotary grinders make the
surface of the plate perfectly flat.
- Robotic machines braze carbide tips into
exact location.
- Brazing flux is sand blasted from the
edges of the teeth.
- Diamond wheels grind each edge of the
carbide to the exact design.
- The plate body is polished to a very
smooth finish, ensuring that it will cut through your material with
minimum of friction and heat.
- Each saw blade is individually inspected
by hand, then packaged to protect it from shipping hazards and
corrosion.
- MOST IMPORTANT REASON - We offer
the best support, service, and will help choose the correct saw blade
for your applications if you simply call Dan at 888-528-0808.

Q: How do I get the most out of my blades? A: Saw
blades are engineered for cutting a specific material. (See our Carbide
Teeth page for choosing the correct saw blade). Do not force
feed, but let the blade do the cutting. If the blade is not cutting
at speed, check to see that it is clean and sharp.
Disconnect power before servicing and making adjustments.
Properly align the arbor with the machine and make sure the motor shaft
runs absolutely true. Make certain mounting collars are true, flat,
and clean. no blade will cut good if it is dirty or misaligned. When
mounting or removing saw from arbor, use a wooden clamp or wood block to
hold the saw in place. Do NOT use a screwdriver or any other
tool that will damage the blade or bend the teeth. After mounting,
check the blade for wobble. Have us sharpen your blades BEFORE they get
dull. Continuing to use a dull blade decreases the performance and
the service life of the saw blade and does not save you money. To
sharpen and extremely dull blade, the teeth must be ground much more than
normal, resulting in fewer sharpenings and shorter blade life. OSHA
safety regulations require all cracked saws be taken out of service.
Do NOT attempt to repair saws with cracks in the plate.
Q:
What is the correct RPMs for saw blades? A:
According to OSHA standards, maximum safe cutting speed is 18,000 surface
feet per minute (SFM) when cutting wood*. This is the maximum
safe saw speed, but does not necessarily reflect the best saw
speed. The most efficient results are usually obtained at somewhere
between 1/2 to 3/4 of the maximum speed. This will vary depending on
the type of saw and material being cut. The table below is intended only
as a guideline. Your experience may indicate the best RPM.
NEVER EXCEED THE MAXIMUM SAFE SAW SPEED. * For
aluminum and other metals, maximum safe speed is lower
